Obituary of Walter Lee Glover

ROCHESTER, NY – October 23, 2020 Walter Lee Glover was born on October 13, 1937, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Theodore Roosevelt Glover and Bessie Mae Banks Glover. Walter spent his youth in Montgomery, Alabama, and later moved to Rochester, New York in 1961. He later met the love of his life, Naomi Morris. They married on April 21, 1962. This union produced five children; Kenneth, Tracy Ann, Walter Earl, Angela Delores, and Justine. Walter Lee Glover departed this life on Friday, October 23, 2020, peacefully at home. He is predeceased by; his parents, Theodore Roosevelt Glover and Bessie Mae Banks Glover; two children, Kenneth and Tracy A; his brothers, Theodore Glover, Jr., John Birk Glover, and Wilbert Earl Glover; and his sisters, Helen Jean Cooper Glover, Deloris Glover Boateng, and Earline Glover Duncan. He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his devoted wife, Naomi Morris Glover; his children, Walter E., Angela D. (Eroll), and Justine; daughter-in-law, Kimberly; son-in-law, Troy; six grandchildren, Troy Jr., Asia, Ashley, Elbert, Madeline, and Ari, and one great-grandchild, Troy III; his sisters, Mary Bell Glover, Lettie Glover Standard, Linda Collins (Frank), Jacqueline Glover McClemore, Classie Glover, Theodora Glover, and a brother, Melvin (Grace) Glover; three brothers-in-law, Willie (Vertilda) Morris, Alex (Daisy) Morris, Jimmy Morris, and two sisters-in-law, Maggie Morris Burnette and Geraldine Morris, along with a host of special nieces, nephews, and cousins, other relatives and friends. Calling hours will be Saturday, October 31 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ, 16 Helena Street Rochester, NY. The Private Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will immediately follow. Rev. Hubert Phillips, Officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Masks required.
