I have known Elder Glover all of my life and he always greeted me with a smile and a warm hug. As a child growing up, I watched the friendship, love and support shared with my parents, the late Bishop and Mother Ruby Malone. Deacon and Sister Glover accepted and loved my husband, children and grandchildren as their own. From being a Deacon to serving in the ministry, he served faithfully with love and joy! He always dressed well, wore a smile and had words of encouragement. A true man of God, his service to the Lord, his family and the church was exemplary. Elder Glover served under the late Bishop Gus Thomas, Bishop Allmon Bailey, Bishop Darrell Barrett and his current pastor, Bishop Hubert Phillips. No matter who was in charge or what was going on I never heard him complain or criticize. He keep his eyes on Jesus as the one that was going to get us out of whatever the situation was. A true servant leader, a man of God, a man of his word and an example of true holiness, he remained steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that his labor was not in vain!! Yes, Elder Glover, serving the Lord has paid off! There is a crown of righteousness laid up for you. Every jewel in your crown was earned because of your unwavering dedication and faithfulness to God, your beautiful wife and family, and the people of God. As you transition from earth to glory, drop your robe of pain and suffering in this earthly body, step up and hear Him declare ...”Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant! You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the Eternal Joy of the Lord!
To Mother Glover and family, I love you and pray the peace of God that surpasses all of our understanding of the pain and loss you feel right now, will comfort your hearts. The joy of the Lord will be your strength and the Word of God will be your shield and buckler.
With all my love and prayers
Sister Eloise Malone Barrett, Ithaca, New York
