"A GOOD MAN!"
Paul Elijah Richardson Jr. Esq., "Uncle Paul" to me. My Uncle Paul was not only my uncle when I was growing up in my troubled childhood; he was my counselor, mentor, and friend, and he felt like my big brother, along with my cousin Michael.
Uncle Paul upheld his father's legacy, my "Jampa," Paul E. Richardson Sr., who was always a gentle source of guidance, wisdom, and solace. They instilled feelings of safety, love, and acceptance.
He would allow me to escape whatever I was dealing with as a youngster and visit him in the summer riding around in the convertible. During the winter, we would drive through snow storms in the RX7 as if the snow wasn't really dangerous and talk about life. Please don't tell my mother; that is where I learned to drive in the snow.
We would go out on fishing boats and laugh together as he shared his many hilarious tales in his collection; some were based on facts, while others were purely fiction.
Uncle Paul never reminded me of whatever bad behavior or failures I left at home; instead, he always made me feel like a soon-to-be success. Uncle Paul always encouraged my aspirations to become an attorney like him. Even when my life and bad decisions in school derailed my dream, Uncle Paul would always encourage me that it was never too late.
Once I surrendered my life to Christ and began ministering and building ministries, there was never a conversation, even up to our last visit in the hospital in Rochester, that Uncle Paul would not have plenty of questions and enthusiasm about what I was doing with the churches, "pastoring negroes," (you could not have a conversation without a hilarious twist,) and he would remind me that I was working for the right Boss now.
I love you, Uncle Paul. You were "a good man." I will cherish the times we shared in my heart for as long as I live. Enjoy your rest; I'll see you in the morning.

I remember staying with Paul's family for a few weeks after my father, Dubois Waire Post, his mother's brother passed. I was about ten. Paul, his sisters, his parents were amazing. His mom was my first babysitter and let me play with her pans hunkered down in her big pantry. He was an amazing man. I am so fortunate to have known and been a part of his life. Rest in peace. Your cousin Lucinda

I shall always remember the good times we shared together at Tom and Maria's house. I can picture Paul in
Heaven with Jan, laughing and exchanging stories about all the trials each one won.
My thoughts are with you, Ruby.

It is with heavy heart that I write this message to remember my dear friend, college classmate, college business partner and fraternity brother.
As a college classmate, Paul was a brilliant and dedicated student who always inspired us with his wit, gift of gab, his unwavering commitment to excellence and his contagious laughter.
As a longtime friend, Paul was a source of constant support and joy. His kindness, humor and loyalty made every moment spent with him truly special and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
In our fraternity, Paul embodied the true spirit of brotherhood. He was always there to lend a hand, offer wise counsel and create unforgettable memories that I will cherish forever.
As a business partner in our collegiate entrepreneurial endeavors, (hotdog/hamburger stand and our luggage moving business), Paul was not only innovative and strategic, but also deeply trustworthy. His vision and drive helped turn our dreams into reality.
Paul's legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, dear brother. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
With Deepest Sympathy and Love,
John R Young

Allstate was my first "real" job out of college. I still don't to this day know how I was hired, but I was and ended up working with three of the most influential people of my life, including Paulie. Working with him at such a young age, allowed me to soak up knowledge in the legal field but more importantly, life lessons. He taught me to not take things to seriously. That you'll screw up, but it's okay and learn from it. He taught me humility but always keep that goofy smile when you do beat someone. He also taught me that it was always okay to go get ice cream in the middle of a work day. Even on some of our worst days, he was able to give us something to laugh about or a couch to sleep it off on. He introduced us to Ruby. Who has become like family to me. She is the epitome of strength and resilience and someone else who I truly admire. Will miss you Paulie. God Bless You Always.

I was truly blessed to not only work with Paulie but to also call him my friend. I had often said that I won the job lottery when Pailie hired me and I was able to work with he, Tommy & Katie . There was never a day that went by that I did not laugh (usually multiple times). Paulie was one of the funniest, kindest and most humble man I have ever known. He will be missed. God bless you Paulie....

Paulie was a great friend, Trail Blazer, and 30+ year trial compadre at Allstate. Paul loved working at Allstate, and loved trying cases. He enjoyed every second of a trial, from jury selection (where he memorized each jurors' name) to summation ("And, May God Bless You!). Paul taught that trial work was all about relationships, being sincere, and being polite. Even when he (rarely) lost, the jurors would apologize to him after the verdict, stating they liked him, but maybe not his client so much. May God Bless You, Paulie, until we meet again . . .
