ROCHESTER, NY – May 14, 2024 Ophelia R. Allison was born February 7, 1934 in Cameron, North Carolina to the late Thomas W. Ratliff and Carrie Mae McMillan. Ophelia went to Greenville elementary school in Cameron, North Carolina. As an adult she moved to Rochester, NY where she worked at Strong Memorial Hospital for many years. She went on from there to being a home health aide until retiring. She was united in holy matrimony to Freddie Allison. She became a member of St. Paul Believers Holiness Church where she remained until her death. Ophelia was preceded in death by; her husband, Freddie Allison; her father, Thomas Ratliff; her mother, Carrie McMillan and her son, Cornelius Ratliff. She leaves to cherish her memory; one sister, Lu Vonnie Daniels; one son, Franklin (Bessie) Ratliff; four grandchildren, David (Brenda) Dawson, Cornelius Ratliff, Shonda Ratliff and Man, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and beloved friends. Friends may call Friday, May 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at St. Paul Believers Holiness Church, 63 Thomas Street, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate her life will immediately follow at 12 Noon with Rev. Daniel D. Fluellen Sr. officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
