Thelma Heard, age 76, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at Unity Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Heard was born October 31, 1934 at Oviedo, FL the daughter of the late Jim and the late Lovie (Anderson) Griffin.
Predeceased by her husband, Lessie Heard and daughter, Cathy Rayam. She is survived by 1 son, Thaddeus (Penny) Griffin; 3 daughters, Loretta Heard, Janice (Roni) Heard and Wanda (LeRoy) Heard; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Clifford and Sylvester Griffin; 1 sister, Dorothy Taylor; goddaughter, Bobbie Ellis; nieces, nephews; other relatives; church family and friends. Friends may call Wed. 10 AM-11 AM at Antioch Baptist Church, 304 Joseph Avenue. Funeral Service immediately following. Rev. Simone Lowe, Officiating. Interment Oakwood Cem., Penfield, NY.
