Mr. Butts was born December 20, 1939 in Pitts, GA. He is the son of the late Alex Butts and the late Carrie Bell (Troutman) Butts. He married Gwendolyn Mikel.
He was employed by Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY as a Welder/Fabricator.
He is survived by; his wife, Gwendolyn (Mikel) Butts; 2 sons, Isaac Butts and Michael Butts; 1 daughter, Julia Lane, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Albert Butts; 1 sister, Doris Flemming, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Monday, June 5 from 11:00 – 12:00 PM at New Bethel C.M.E. Church, 270 Scio Street, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will immediately follow with Rev. Reuben Lowry officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
