ROCHESTER, NY – September 26, 2022
Mrs. Green-Young was born February 8, 1942 in Sandersville, GA. She is the daughter of the late Willie Stephens and the late Dora Mae Elbert.
She was employed by Lewis Street Community Center in Rochester, NY as a Finance Director.
She is survived by; 2 sons, Tony Elbert, Hugh Brown Jr.; 2 daughters, Daphnne Brown, Linda Green; special grandson, Kenneth Jones, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Albert Stephens; special friends, Joyce and Roger Miller, nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate her life will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, October 8 at Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 549 Clarissa Street, Rochester, NY. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, donations can be sent to the community program Beyond The Sanctuary (beyondthesanctuary.org) and the CI Bullock Scholarship Fund (MemorialAMZ.org) on behalf of Lena E. Green-Young.
