ROCHESTER, NY - August 18, 2022 Mr. Smith Jr. was born June 29, 1979 in Rochester, NY. He is the son of Joe Louis and Lovie Y. (Fields) Smith Sr. He worked in Demolition and was employed by Cap'n Scrap'n in Rochester, New York. Beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Born on June 29, 1979 in Rochester, NY, Joe was affectionately known as "Snook" and was a lifelong resident of Rochester where he attended East High School. Joe is survived by; his daughter, Nyasia Smith; his parents, Joe Smith Sr. and Lovie Smith; his brother, Terrell Smith (Jaime); his sister, Ashley Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Nina Smith; his grandmother, Pastor Thelma D. Fields; and his grandfather, Bobby L. Fields. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of family and friends. Viewing will be this Saturday, August 27 from 11am-12pm at Community Christian Church, 2647 Chili Avenue. Funeral Service to follow. Interment Falls Cemetery Greece, NY. Masks required.
