ROCHESTER, NY - January 13, 2022 Rev. Marvis Duhard was born on February 14, 1933, in Unadilla, Georgia, to Mr. Bubber Lee and Annie Kate Holmes Duhart. He was one of eleven siblings. At an early age he confessed Christ and was baptized and attended Big Poplar Baptist Church. In search of a better life during the turbulent 50’s and 60’s, Marvis related to Rochester, NY, and made it his “home away from home.” He retired from the Xerox Co. where he was employed for a number of years. Rev. Duhart united with the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and served their many years serving in different capacities. His service also went beyond the walls of Antioch into the community, where he was engaged with several civic organizations. He was cherished by his wife, the late Mrs. Betty Duhart. Rev. Duhart was always full of life, laughter and love. Rev. Marvis Duhart leaves, to cherish his life: two brothers: Clinton Duhart (Mamie) of Atlanta, GA. and Robert Duhart (Cynthia) of College Park, GA and two sisters, Frances Lester of Pinehurst, Ga. and Thelma Jean Duhart of Smyrna, GA; one brother-in-law, Raymond Solomon; two sisters-in-law: Mitty Duhart and Doris Duhart; step-sons: LaMar, Cyrus and Bruce Proctor, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church family, and friends. Friends may call Tuesday, January 25, 11AM - 12PM at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 304 Joseph Avenue. Funeral Service to follow. Interment Grove Place Cemetery, Chili, NY. Masks Required.
