It seems so unreal that you are no longer here with us. Memories flood my thoughts of 2021, all the highs and lows you experienced. Actually, you were preparing us for your departure, even as you remained hopeful with tremendous endurance to the very end. It pained us to see you go, but God said that your work on earth was complete. You are definitely in a better place and we will see you again. God, please carry, console, and cover us in the days ahead. May the legacy of our brother, as a leader, activist, influencer, and servant propel us to be change agents in the lives of our families, our community, and the entire world. There is no time for idleness, excessive rest, or entertainment. The harvest is ripe.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Clyde Forbes passing.
He was so inspirational, professional and always very well dressed.
I was fortunate to meet Clyde many years ago and he always would greet me with that beautiful smile.
As a young teen, I worked with his sister Carmetha Forbes at Xerox in the accounts payable dept as coworkers we became good acquaintances. Shortly, after I met their brother Prince.
So, I feel as if I have known this family all my life, and they are a remarkable family.
Clyde will be truly missed.
I pray blessings and God's peace to the family; "Weeping may endure for a night; but JOY comes in the morning!"

My dear cousin, I will always cherish our talks and love that we shared. You was more than a cousin to me, another big brother that genuinely cared and loved everyone that you embraced. God was ready but we wasn't and I pray we all can emulate your love and kindness in our lives. Sleep in peace and know you will never be forgotten.

Uncle Clyde, you will always be in my heart! You were my mentor, an academic advisor, and an exemplary father figure. I will miss reaching out to you for advice and just saying hi! I so look forward to meeting you again one day in the pearly gates of heaven.
Love your dear niece,

I was so sad when I heard the news of Clyde’s death. We were co-workers and golf partners for many years. He was a man of character. His dedication to family and diligent work was a model for others. I will miss you, my friend, even if you couldn’t chip a golf ball onto the green from 50 yards.
