I remember the first time I ever met my father in 1982 I was 13 years old coming home from school I see this big Ole motorcycle and a guy sitting on the porch with my mother she told me he was my father i went to his house that night and he was always there every since when i turned 21 he actually took me to the bar and bought me my first legal drink I actually was going to sell my Honda Goldwing I had it out in front of my clothing store in 1994 and someone was actually there today buy it when my dad pulled up and said he liked it and I didn't sell it i gave it to him and 16 year's later i was at his house and he said son i don't ride anymore and gave it back to me and I kept that bike until it rusted out sitting in my yard in 2020 i moved out of state got remarried and came to visit my family and friends and wanted my father to meet my wife i was at his house knocking on the door when a white guy pulled in I thought he must work with my father and i ask was Andy around and he that no had closed on this house about 6 months ago and he regrets to inform me that my father had died this was how I found out he was gone June 2022 i was hurt that no one had even tried to contact me I new his ex wife my sister's who lived in that house I went to every weekend growing up i use to stop and see him at the house he owned on Kirk St even met one of my brothers fixing it up because my close friends family owned the house next door the Days I had actually put in a bid to put the fence in around their property I have even been to his brothers house in Rochester to see him after he had his open heart surgery and that's were he was staying doing his rehab and recovery it hurt me so much because for 13 years I never new my father but the minute I met him he made sure he stayed in my life he was actually the person who afficiated my first marriage January 22 1994 i never wanted anything from him except his love and i was blessed to have been able to have a chance to meet and for him be a part of my life he was able to meet his grandchildren and believe it or not i use to go to his house mow the lawn and my second wife and our daughter use to go out there a couple time's a month and clean his house up for him and you know he wasn't to keen on people being in his house because he kept them guns damnare in every room so you know we had a good relationship as I said I always had my own business and money but I wish someone in his family that new of me would have at least contacted me to let me know that the man I loved and respected had passed away I'm grateful that God put him in my life anyways at 13 I was born in Rochester were he met my mother and still to this day I wish I would of had the chance to thank him for being there and being apart of me an my kids life I have plenty more found memories of a great man thank you for helping me become the man i am for knowing that any boy can have a child but it takes a man to raised one
