ROCHESTER, NY – October 15, 2020 Mr. Peterson Sr. was born August 20, 1925 in Sumter, SC. He is the son of the late George Peterson and the late Mary (Pringle) Peterson. He was employed by Genesee Brewing Rochester, NY as a Beer Processor. He is predeceased by his wife, Lenora Peterson, and one son George Michael Peterson. He is survived by; one daughter, Brenda Peterson; three sons, oldest son James "Pete" (Harriet) Peterson Jr., David (Linda) Peterson, and Timothy (Lorraine) Peterson. A host of grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Joseph (Alice) Peterson and Alvin Peterson. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends. Mr. Peterson was a member of New Bethel CME Church for over 65 years and was also very active with the Boy Scouts of America. He also taught Sunday School for many years. Calling hours will be Thursday, October 22 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at New Bethel CME Church, 270 Scio Street, Rochester, NY. The Private Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will immediately follow. Rev. Dr. Julius Clay Officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Masks required.
