Sending my prayers to the Johnson Family.
I met Butch when I was 16 years old working Teams on Patrol. He was a positive leader in the community. Then one day he walked into my office at Eastman Kodak and the roles has changed. LOL. He did not forget me. He was telling my co-workers that I was a quite young girl, only he didn't know how I changed. He was positive back then(teams on Patrol) and was positive working with us. What a kind hearted person God place here on earth. So Johnsons family please be strong through this. God has all covered in this time of need.

Butch was such a good and great person. HE Loved Debbie dearly , followed by his love of his family members, friends and of course the pittsburgh steelers. Patsy and I got to know him very well at kodak. Having lunch with him, hearing great stories and laughing and our friday ritual of butch picking up our food orders on friday at steve t,s ME ,my wife and children used to see him at the house of bachus where he did security on saturdays. there was many a time that people would approach the counter people to report a suspicious looking man of color with a big bushy beard and an afro just leaning against the wall and looking at the shoppers!! Oh what a blast when he would hear about this and his laugh would fill the store. Butch was a very kind , warm ,generous soul . He would also stare you down if you crossed him ,which i/m sure people didn/t do more than once with him. Patsy, Butch and I would get together often at steve ts.to do lunch in the years after leaving kodak, and i would see Butch and his saturday group at Keenan/s many a time. He was truly devoted to Debbie!!God Bless You Butch. We will miss you terribly!!

Our whole family loved Butch. We shared many laughs and happy times.
My thoughts are now with Debbie. I wish you the strength to endure this. I hope you feel all the love and support that surrounds you.
I read something recently that i’d like to share with you;
Wishing you a peaceful place,
a sheltering space, where your heart can be safe from the sadness
and know nothing but comfort.
God bless you.

Beej, as I called him, was an outstanding member of this community and most certainly left his mark on the Rochester Police Department. I worked alongside him in the Genesee Section and at Headquarters desk. There were very few people he didn't know and he was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. His presence will be greatly missed. God loves you Butch. I know I do.
