Mr. Jackson was born November 10, 1943 in Crewe, VA. He is the son of the late James Jackson and the late Lillian (Dyson) Jackson.
He was employed by New York City Transit Authority as a Maintenance Engineer.
He is survived by 1 son, Pernell Jackson; 2 daughters, Valerie Jackson and Makeba (Kevin) Royall; 5 grandchildren, Pernell Griffin, Ta'Nell Jackson, Zuri Royall, Ne'Vaeh Jackson and Pernell Jackson Jr.; 2 brothers-in-law, Bobby (Maxine) Morgan and Charles Morgan; nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 6 from 11-12PM at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 141 Adams Street, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will immediately follow with Rev. Dr. Rickey B. Harvey, Officiating. Burial will be in Grove Place Cemetery in Chili, NY.
