ROCHESTER – October 27, 2018 Deacon Haygood was born March 10, 1937 in Sarasota, FL to Monticello and Izella (Mack) Haygood. He married Lilly Washington. He was employed by RG&E Rochester, NY as a General Manager until he retired. Former CEO Hammer Enterprises and D&L Construction Consulting Services. Predeceased by his mother Izella and father Monticello Haygood; son, Elwood. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Lilly Washington Haygood. Leaves also to cherish his memories: children Wendy Blount, David, Jr. (Carolyn), Brian (Alexis) Haygood, Cristal (Kevin) Wilson and daughter-in-law Tabitha. Grandchildren Tawana, Quincy, Zakia, Brieana, Chanel and En'dea, 7 Great Grandchildren, dearly beloved Brothers, Sisters, Brothers and Sisters-In-Law. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, The House of God and other church families and friends. Calling hours will be Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at The House of God Church, 300 Phelps Road, Rush, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at The House of God Church, 300 Phelps Road, Rush, NY. Interment immediately following at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
