Mr. McKnight was born October 6, 1932 in Andrews, SC. He is the son of the late Ben and the late Idella (Washington) McKnight.
He is survived by his wife: Virlen McKnight; 3 sons, James Jr., Jackie Sr. (Rose) and Michael (Zee) McKnight; 4 daughters, Pastor Shirley A. (Dories Jr.) Roberts, Aletha Hubbart, Annalee McKnight and Sabrina McKnight; 6 step-children, Samuel, Jeenathan, David, Irene, Anette and Juminda; 2 brothers, Joseph (Sadie) McKnight and Levi (Shirley) McKnight; 2 sisters, Sylvester (Willie) McCullough and Annie V. Harris; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family friends.
Friends may call Friday, December 8 from 6-8 PM at St. Paul Believers Holiness Church, 63 Thomas St. Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the church. Pastor Daniel Fluellen, Eulogist. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield, NY
