Mrs. McDowell was born September 27, 1921 in Anderson, SC. She is the daughter of the late Edmond O. and the late Massie (Miller) Rutledge.
She was employed by New York State as a Food Service Worker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lucious and son, Matthew. She is survived by 3 sons, Clarence (Claudia), James (Dot), Melvin; daughter-in-law, Marie; host of grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, church family, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Aenon Baptist Church, 175 Genesee Street. Funeral Service to follow. Rev. Robert Miller, Officiating.
Interment Private.
