Mr. Becoats was born August 14, 1929 in Fairmount, NC. He is the son of the late Sam and the late Inez (Ford) Becoats.
US Army Veteran, Predeceased by 2 children, James Becoats and Mildred Coleman. He is survived by 1 son, Matthew (Martha) Becoats Jr.; 1 daughter, Maxine Becoats (Rickey) Peete; 11 grand and 13 Great-grandchildren; 7 brothers; 2 sisters; special friend, JoAnn Blackwell; host of nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 304 Joseph Ave. Interment at the convenience of the family.
