James Lloyd Bethel, Sr. age 90, died Thursday, September 9, 2010 in Rochester.
Mr. Bethel was born June 4, 1920 at Burlington, NC the son of the late Glennie and the late Maggie M. (Gunn) Bethel.
He served in the US Army from 1941 to 1945 during World War II.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 70 years, Mrs. Hazel Bethel; 2 sons James L. Bethel Jr. and Sherwin D. Bethel; 1 daughter Marilyn Bethel; 2 grand and 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gladys Bethel Vaughn and Vinnie Bethel; 1 brother-in-law Henry Pennix; 2 nieces, Barbara McDaniel and Maggie Burnette; other relatives and friends.
Interment, White Haven Memorial Park, Perinton, NY.
