Yahya Jihad Abdullah, age 61, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in, Rochester.
Mr. Abdullah was born June 2, 1953 in Geneva, NY the son of the late James L and the late Shirley Jacqueline (Birch) Buckner.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Arleata E. Abdullah; 3 sons, Jelani (Yvette) Buckner, Anwar (Barbara) Khalil, Mikal (Crystal) Khalil; 1 daughter, Danei (Jahmaal) Ross; 16 grand; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, James (Laverne) Buckner Jr.; 3 sisters, Cynthia Waye, Sylvia Bryon and Diane (Trent) Wynn; ,other-in-law, Patricia Ghee; 1 brother-in-law, Charles (Barbara) Ghee; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
Janazah Service at the Islamic Center, 727 Westfall Rd. Friday, 2:00 PM. Community Service Saturday 11:00 AM at the Frederick Douglas Resource Center, 36 King St. Interment, Avon, NY.
