Roy Chester Young, age 74, died Monday, August 12, 2013 in, Rochester.
Mr. Young was born July 18, 1939 at Port Arthur, TX the son of the late Robert and the late Alice Lee (Turner) Young.
He was an US Air Force Veteran. Predeceased by special aunt, Annie Turner. He is survived by his wife: Lena; 3 step-children, Tony, Hugh, and Daphnne Brown; 5 step-grandchildren and 1 great-step-grandson; 2 dear friends, Dr. Luther Felder and Dr. Louis Baldwin; in-laws, several cousins and a host of other relatives, church family and friends.
Friends may call Friday 5-8 pm at Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 549 Clarissa Street. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Service, 7:30 PM. Funeral Service, Saturday 11 AM at the Church. Rev. Dr. Kenneth Q. James, Officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bullock Scholarship Fund.
