Ruby O. Ashford, age 97, died Friday, November 30, 2012 in, Rochester.
Mrs. Ashford was born May 7, 1915 in McCool, MI the daughter of the late Jobe and the late Estella (Dotson) Veasy.
Predeceased by her husband, Deacon Lester L. Ashford. She is survived by 1 daughter, Linda J. Ashford of Henrietta, NY; 1 stepson, David Woodard of Chicago, IL; 1 brother, A. Marcellus Veasy of McCool, MS; brother-in-law, Edward Bentley; nephew, Darnell Bentley; niece, Celeste Wyatt, all of Rochester, NY; also nieces and nephews of St. Louis, MO, McCool, MS and Phoenix, AZ; special daughter, Mary Jackson and Renee Hayes; dear friends Evelyn Hospedales; cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
Friends may call Saturday from 10AM-11AM at Aenon Baptist Church, 175 Genesee Street, Funeral Service immediately following. Rev. Dr. James L. Cherry Sr. Officiating. Interment Riverside.
