Earnest Mikel, age 78, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Rochester.
Mr. Mikel was born May 22, 1931 in Hainesville, GA the son of the late Hershel and the late Roxie (Johnson) Mikel.
He served in the U S Army from 1953 to 1955 during Korean Conflict war.
Predeceased by 1 daughter, Denise Smith
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Marie Mikel; 2 sons, Eric Mikel and David (Eugenia) Mikel; 4 daughters Gwen (Will) Butts; Beverly (Kelvin) Ward, Cynthia Mikel and Sonya (James) Hill; son-in-law, Kermit Smith; 12 grand and 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Hercules (Mildred) Mikel and Tommie (Betty) Mikel; 1 sister, Dorothy Peterson; nieces, nephews; other relatives church family and friends.
Rev. Weldon Thomas, officiating.
Interment Riverside Cemetery, Veteran's Section. .
