Bernice S. Brown, age 91, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 in Rochester, NY.
Mrs. Brown was born January 30, 1921 in Avon, NY the daughter of the late Linwood and the late Florence (Spencer) Thornton.
She was employed by Dr. McDonald of Brighton, NY as a Domestic Engineer.
Predeceased by husband, Ora Brown; son, Donald D. Lawrence Sr.; brothers, George, William, Jack, Leslie and Larkin Thornton; sister, Elsie Alligood. Survived by children, Dolores (Edward) Rayam, Diane Evans, Dean Lawrence, Donita (Joel) Cummings, Deborah (Thomas) Roberts; daughter-in-law, Shirley Lawrence; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; amd 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
Friends may call Thursday, September 6th from 11 AM - 1 PM for visitation at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 141 Adams Street, Rochester, NY. Service immediately following. Minister Winterbourne Jones, Officiating. Interment will be at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY.
