Minnie B Forbes, age 84, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 in, Rochester.
Mrs. Forbes was born December 13, 1927 in Shorter, AL the daughter of the late Almore and the late Lurene (Smith) Johnson, Sr.
Predeceased by her husband, Pastor Albert W. Forbes. She is survived by 3 sons, Rev. Prince (Juanita) Forbes, Clyde Forbes and Wilfred Forbes; 6 daughters, Rev. Gloria Ferguson, Deloris (Rev. Stephen Sr.) Williams, Beatrice (Roscoe) Hamer, Carmetha Harris, Natalie Jackson and Alberta (Eddie) Baker; 7 foster children, Cherlene, Shawn, Pamela, Sharon, Michael, Deborah and Antonia; 13 grand, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; 2 brothers, Almore (Elnora) Johnson, Jr., Abraham (Louise) Johnson; 4 sisters, Alberta (Ike) Miller, Elgertha Gosha; Louise Hawkins, Bernece Dorrough; god-daughter, Michelle Miller; Forbes Family in-laws; nieces, nephews, cousins, cousins in law; church family and friends.
Mother Forbes will Lie in State Monday from 5-8 pm at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, 111 Clifton St. Homegoing Service Tuesday 11 AM at the Church. Rev. James L. Cuyler Sr., Officiating. Pastor Gloria Ferguson, Eulogist.
