John W. Bruce, age 85, of Rochester died Sunday, May 9, 2010.
Mr. Bruce was born March 10, 1925 in Gravesville, NY the son of the late Samuel and the late Edna (Smith) Bruce.
He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1945 during World War II, and was a member of Pennington-Moye Post #9251.
He is survived by his devoted wife: Charlotte L. Bruce; 2 sons, Keith Bruce, Terrence (Sheila) Marcus; 3 daughters, Andrea Bruce-Ellison, Diane (Fredrick) Graham, Lillian E. (Antoinette) Marcus; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard Bruce, Charles (Jimmie lee) Bruce; 1 sister, Annabelle Williams; sister-in-law, Audrey Cosby; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
Rev. Michael W. Hopkins, officiating.
Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield.
