You will be truly missed Uncle Charles. My sister and I considered you the "cool uncle". We always looked forward to your visits to Tifton, Ga. and we know our father, Eddie enjoyed spending time with you in his shop.
Those times were always filled with stories you shared and so much laughter...... and I can't forget you sharing tips on fishing since you were an "expert". You created priceless memories that will always be cherished. We love you and again we will miss you dearly.

To the Family of Mr. Charles Smith:
I personally never met Charles, but I am a good friend of his brother Curtis. I wanted to share a short story about his kindness.
One day Curtis mentioned how his brother, Charles, would find him and drop him off a fish dinner nearly every Friday. Hearing this, I replied by saying, I sure wish I could get one. I certainly did not expect anything, it was just conversation.
That following Friday, Curt called me and told me he was going to stop by to bring me something. I was so surprised when he came to my door with a fresh, hot fish dinner for me. This was from Charles, a man I'd never even spoken to but who gave his kindness at no charge.
I never did get to personally tell him thank you, but today I say thank you to a man who dealt in kindness just because he could.
Kindness is free and it brings so much happiness to the lives of others. Charles was a loving brother to Curtis and I know that Curt (and all of his loved ones) will miss Charles deeply. I'm sure a "fish dinner" will be waiting on Curtis in Heaven where I'm sure that Charles has arrived.
Family, do not sorrow over his loss because Charles has arrived to take his seat at the table in the great Kingdom of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. God Bless You All.
