Obituary of Sheila A. Stodghill

ROCHESTER, NY – March 8, 2024 Sheila Stodghill was bornin Cincinnati, OH on June 6, 1954 to the late Bivian and Ronald Stodghill, Sr. An early graduate of secretarial college, Sheila worked in quiet office settings and in payroll accounting. Early in her career, she worked to prepare and enter (keypunch) code in Xerox supercomputers. Later on in life, she was recognized for her years of service at Landmark Industries. She enjoyed her books, shopping trips, fashion, telling a story or good joke. She was a skillful piano player and devoted gardener. Sheila, or Nanna as the children called her, much enjoyed seeing her grandchildren whom she lovingly called "Derry" and "Bivi- Nanna" and great grandchildren "ZeeYo" and "Zee" and hearing of their accomplishments and adventures. Sheila was saved and believed in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sheila went home to be with The Lord on March 8, 2024. She is predeceased by her parents, Bivian and Ronald Stodghill, Sr. and brother Ronnie Stodghill, jr. She leaves to mourn; one daughter, Bivette Stodghill; one granddaughter, Biviana Buckeroo and one grandson, Darren Stockton; two great-grandchildren, Xiomari Stockton and Zahid Stockton; one aunt. Ann (Charles) Moxley; one uncle, Samuel (Delois Moxley) Whitehead, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Jones, Douglass, Wilson-Jones, Ravenelle, and Moxley Family. A Memorial Service to Celebrate her life will be held 11:00 am on Friday, March 22, 2024 at The Latimer Chapel, 983 S. Plymouth Ave., Rochester, NY. Interment at the convenience of the family.
