Benjamin W. Hood, age 78 passed away November 13, 2023.
Mr. Hood was born June 25, 1945 in Laurens, SC. He is the son of the late Nesbitt E. and the late Sue Mae (Williams) Hood. He married Ida L. Major.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam war from 05/12/1966 to 04/29/1968. He was employed by USPS Downtown Postal Office in Rochester, New York as a Custodian.
He is survived by; his wife, Ida L. (Major) Hood; 1 daughter, Rosalind J. (Anthony) Owens; 1 son, Benji W. Hood, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives, church family and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 397 North Street, Rochester, NY 14605. Funeral Service to Celebrate his Life will immediately follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
