ROCHESTER, NY – November 1, 2023 Kenneth Register (Rook) was born on March 17, 1954, to Emma Lavern and William Wright in Valdosta, Georgia. He moved to Rochester, New York with his family in 1960. Kenneth accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He graduated from Madison High School in Rochester, New York. During High School, Ken was a renowned football star. After graduation, Kenneth attended Hudson Valley University in Hudson NY on a full-ride athletic scholarship. After College, his entrepreneurship was birthed. At the young age of 20 Kenneth opened his first business A "Smoke Shop". After achieving success in his first endeavor, Kenneth sought greater heights. He decided to move to California to further his education. There he studied and perfected his craft as master roofer, contractor, and a leading boss. As a Leader, Ken was the first in Rochester NY to obtain a Lead License. Ken was an illustrious multipreneur who owned and operated several Construction businesses. Ervin Smalls Construction, A.L.A. Technology, Construction Services, among others. Kenneth loved to travel, and his favorite pastime was traveling to various casinos around the world. Kenneth departed this life on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Emma Boyd and William Wright, and his brother Warren Dexter Register. He leaves to Cherish his memory: his son Jason Register; daughter, Jessica Register; bonus son Tony, all of Rochester New York; brothers, Marvin Spencer, Bruce Register, bonus brother/cousin Michael Harris, all of Rochester New York, and Charles (Genise) Boyd of Birmingham, Alabama; sisters, Wanda Gail Boyd and Karis (Anthony)Rainey of Rochester New York; special niece Keneshia Dushon; special cousin, Bonnie Flewellyn of Detroit Michigan: love of his life and fiancé Christina White of Rochester New York; and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call Thursday, November 9 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 250 Dr. Samuel McCree Way, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will immediately follow at 12 Noon. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
