Obituary of Kim Yvette Wynn

ROCHESTER, NY
Kim passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Percy Quinn, her precious daughter, India Gabrielle and brother-in-law, Randy Everett. Kim was born in Rochester, NY on November 22, 1964. She attended Rush Henrietta High School and graduated from Dillard University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Kim enjoyed a successful career at Monroe County Department of Social Services and Coordinated Care Services, Inc. In her most recent role, she served as Manager of the Navigator Program, which afforded members of the community access to affordable health care. Her passion for assisting the underserved in the community was evident by the success of the program and recognized by the Mayor of the City of Rochester. Additionally, Kim was affiliated with several community organizations that benefitted women and children, including but not limited to Rochester Genesee Valley NANBPW Club, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, as well as being an active member of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
Kim was known for her strength and faith in God and her generous and loving spirit. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Those left to mourn her passing are, her loving and devoted husband of 26 years, James Jr, her special son, James III (Baby James), her caring daughters Shante, Imani, Daija, and granddaughter Jayda; mother M. Yvonne Quinn, sisters Yulanda Everett, LaTanya (Ronnie) Stamps, brother Mark (Mary) Quinn, father-in-law James Wynn, Sr, sister-in-law, Diedre Wynn, brother-in-law Jeffrey (Jill) Wynn, a host of other loved ones from the Wynns, Quinns, Brumfields, additional family members, church family and friends.
The wake will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM; Rochester Genesee Valley NANBPW Service at 6:30 PM followed by a Delta Sorority Service at the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 351 Joseph Ave, Rochester, NY 14605, and the funeral service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the same location. In lieu of flowers, consider donations made to The Isaiah House, 71 Prince St, Rochester, NY 14605 in memory of Mrs. Kim Yvette Wynn.
