CALEDONIA, NY – June 28, 2019 Dr. Dorothy E. Lacey was born February 24, 1931 in Urban Crest, OH. She is the daughter of the late Charles Nesbitt and the late Clifford (Dickerson) Nesbitt. She was employed by Emmanuel Temple Bible Institute in Rochester, NY as a Dean of School. She was predeceased by her husband, Bishop Joseph W. Lacey; She is survived by 1 son, Michael (Charissa) Lacey; 4 grandchildren, Danielle (John) Young, Michael Joseph Lacey, Joseph Michael Lacey and Sarah E. Lacey; 3 great-grandchildren, Mi'ana Lacey, John Young, Jr. and Jada Marie Young; 3 sisters, Beverly Dalton, Eunice Givens-Smith and Sandra Groce (Herman); nieces, nephews; other relatives; a host of church family and friends. Dr. Lacey will Lie in State Friday, July 5 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Emmanuel Temple, 1 Seneca Parkway, Rochester, NY. Friends may call Saturday. July 6 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Church with the Funeral Service to Celebrate her life immediately following. District Elder Uvie Stewart, Officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
