
Obituary of Tiffany E. Singleton Lawson
ROCHESTER, NY - January 30 2026
Tiffany Elise Singleton Lawson was born on April 10, 1978, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, to the union of Hiram Lawson and Sandra Singleton Lawson. She was baptized at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Tiffany's early education included School No. 17 and Allen Creek Elementary School, where she met her lifelong best friends, John Walters, Nichelle Quinn, and Ashanti Curry. Tiffany attended Pittsford Sutherland High School and continued her education at BOCES School of Cosmetology, where she pursued her love for doing hair.
Tiffany was known for her love of music and the arts. She was truly a girly girl who adored glitz and glamour and was affectionately known as "Princess Tiffany." Her favorite color was pink, and she loved wearing crowns. Tiffany celebrated life boldly and always gave "Big Aries Energy." She loved to cook and share her food with others. Her favorite pastimes were spent with family and friends.
She shared a very close bond with her mother, Sandra L. Singleton Lawson, lovingly called "Bean." Tiffany cherished spending time with her daughter, Krysta; son-in-law, Taylor; and her grandchildren, Davion and Zannon. Tiffany also shared many years of love and companionship with her longtime partner, Cardell Bouie Jr., who remained a steady and meaningful presence in her life. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, just like her entire family, and celebrated every game, win or lose. Tiffany also dearly loved her precious dog, "Styles who was truly a beloved member of the family.
Tiffany was predeceased by her father, Hiram C. Lawson; her brother, Hiram L.E. Lawson; her grandfather, Earnest L. Lawson; her grandmothers, Flossie Mae Greanlea and Dorothy Singleton; her great-grandmother, Eleanor Singleton; her aunts, Kim Yvette Lawson Dobbs and Jennifer Brock Polk; her uncle, Stevie Washington; and her cousins, Loren Brock, Michael Washington Il, and Jamar Washington Sr.
Tiffany leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Krysta (Taylor) Singleton; three grandchildren, Jade, Davion, and Zannon; her mother, Sandra Singleton Lawson; her grandfather, David "Corky" Singleton; her grandmothers, Mortess Johnson and Julia Lawson; her sister-in-law, India Lawson; her nieces, Jha'Nay Lawson, Armani Bridges, Harmonie Lawson, and Heaven Lawson; and her nephew, Anthony Bridges. She also leaves her aunts: Jackie Dozier, Ronni Singleton Walker, Joy Singleton, Alfreda Jackson, and Tonda Richardson, all of Rochester, New York; Stephanie Singleton of Virginia; and Brittney Sipling of Florida. Her uncles include Michael (Sherry) Washington of California; David (Sharon) Singleton of Rochester, New York; Jerome (Stephanie) Green; Gerald Glasper; Pelson Polk of Houston, Texas; and Alan Gray and Allan (Joanne) Scott of Rochester, New York. She is also survived by her first cousins: Robert (YiYi) Clasper: Nadia (Andre) Brooks of North Carolina; Ashley Bush of Maryland; Warren Meeks Jr., Shay Singleton, Buddy Wright, Patricia Singleton, Myles Singleton, and Sherod Solomon, all of Rochester, New York; Shayna Washington, Michelle (Pierre) Drake, and Chanel Washington of California; and Robert and Byron Flemmings of Delaware. Closest friends: John Walters, Raquetta Lott, Jessica Shelp, Cheryl Lofton, Jojo Cuomo and Ashanti Curry, all of Rochester, New York; and Nichelle Cave of Knoxville. Tennessee. Friends may call Wednesday, February 18th, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 304 Joseph Ave, Rochester, NY 14605. Funeral Service to Celebrate her Life will immediately follow at 12 Noon with Pastor James Cherry, Jr., officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family.
