
Obituary of Louis "Lou" Wesley Shorter Sr.
ROCHESTER, NY - Passed away January 25, 2026 at the age of 88. He owned Lou Shorter Collision since 1961, was school board chairman, bible study pastor, singer, and among many other things beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandad.
He is survived by; his wife, Cecille Shorter; children, Louis Shorter II and Christiana Haakansson, and their families. He is predeceased by; his parents, Herbert and Madeline Shorter; brothers, Richard and Howard; his son, Leighton.
Friends may call Thursday, February 19th 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Latimer Chapel, 983 South Plymouth Avenue, Rochester. Funeral Service will be held February 20th 11:30 am at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue, Rochester with Rev. Kathy Thiel, Officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate to St Jude Hospital in his name.
