To the family of Mr. Walter Lee, I did not get to know Mr. Lee for a long time, however, when I met him about seventeen years ago at Chili Diner in Rochester NY; I never forgot him. He and I engaged in great conversation about his life, his family and his passion for photography. We both worked for Eastman Kodak and he shared with me how much it meant for his football playing son to attend and get an Ivy League Education( Mr. Lee understood value) in college. The Rochester community truly was blessed by his gifts which could enrich us all. I send my condolences to his loving family. May his memory always be a blessing to you always.

As children, we played together in the hot sand of our front yard in Kingstree, S.C.
At a young age, you demonstrated the unapologetic aptitude of leadership as evidenced by the fact that you matured into a strong intelligent Black Man. You were never afraid to stand up and step out in support of family, freinds and community. Memories of my first Christmas gifts, were a small Kodak camera and a 45 RPM record of Fats Domino singing Blueberry Hill.
Your implicit, explicit no nonsense disciplinary attitude in raising your children were complemented by your subtle sense of humor and tough love. The dividends of your investment are demonstrated in the professional demeanor of your son, Mitchell and the compassionate character of your daughters, Jacqueline and LeTicia. You and your hard work shall be cherished in memory of a life well lived. You made us proud Walter.
Rest in peace My Brother Walter and know that you are loved and appreciated.
Your Sister, Katie V. Lee
