ROCHESTER, NY – January 11, 2025 Mrs. Potter was born on March 27, 1932, in Mayflower, Arkansas, to the late John Mcgee and Mamie (Fourte) Mcgee, Dorothy's life was marked by her deep faith, loving service to others, and dedication to family. Dorothy Mae Potter, lovingly known as "Poon," peacefully departed this life on January 11, 2025. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love through: her children, James (Olympe) Griffin of Brooksville, FL, Earlen (Jeff) Greene, Curtis Griffin and friend Ms. W. Young, and Juanita (Victor, Sr) all of Rochester, NY, and John (Laurie) of Prairieville, LA; her siblings, Carolyn Parham, John Mcgee, and Mamie Lou Mcgee all of Little Rock, Arkansas; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will deeply cherish her memory. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and unwavering dedication to serving others. Friends may call Monday, January 27 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Aenon Missionary Baptist Church, 175 Genesee Street, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate her life will immediately follow at 12 Noon. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
