ROCHESTER, NY - January 10, 2025 Thomas Edgar Powers III was born on February 2, 1971 in Rochester, NY. The youngest son of Thomas Edgar Powers Jr. and Marilyn J. (Poles) Powers. Thomas affectionally known as George to all his family and friends, attended the Rochester public schools graduating from Edison Tech in 1989. He continued his studies at both Langston University and Morgan State University. He had a great love for riding and rebuilding motorcycles and actually anything with 4 wheels. George had a natural gift for training animals, particularly dogs. You often found George hiking or walking with Geno, his well trained Cane Corso. He is survived by; his father, Thomas E. Powers, Jr. and mother, Marilyn J. Powers; his sister, Michelle Adeyemo and brother, Julian M. Powers and other relatives and friends. Friends may call Friday, January 24 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at The Latimer Chapel, 983 South Plymouth Avenue, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will immediately follow at 3:00. Interment at the convenience of the family.
