It is with sadness that I learned of Bob’s passing only today. I knew Bob from his work at the Rochester Regional Forensic Unit. It was my good fortune to hire him as a recreation therapist on that unit. It was the best hire I ever made. His enthusiasm, hard work and devotion to the patients was remarkable. I am glad to hear that he had such a long career for NYS. My deepest sympathies to Dorcet, I know he was devoted to you.

To Rob’s family:
I met Rob when I attended Shaw University in 1970-72 . He left an indelible impression as a sincere and serious brother. Whereas, at the time, I was not serious at all about my education.
I left Shaw to join the Air Force and that started me on a better life path. I eventually became an educator, like Rob. Though we lost touch for over 50 years, in a moment of nostalgia, I search his name and home state. I found that he passed away after a life of service to his family, his profession, and the community. May he rest in peace and always be remembered.

Mr. Watson was like a second father to me growing up. All the memories of Randon and I in sports and activities , Rowan following us around. The Watson family was my family. He would always call me “Rock” which was his nickname for me. We lived in the same neighborhood and our families we were very close. An upstanding father figure and a great man. Rest in peace .Love you all- Rahsaan.

I’ll always remember Mr Watsons great big smile and encouraging words. Growing up with Randon has been a delight because it was clear to me how much Mr and Mrs Watson instilled their wisdom into Randon and Rowan. Mr Watson would always talk to us with joy, and it didn’t matter if Randon was home or not LOL. Many great memories I’m forever thankful for. God’s Blessing on you
