Velvia Benjamin was born September 24, 1935 in Jamaica, West Indies. She is the daughter of the late Allan and the late Cecelia Ware Rose.
Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Benjamin and sister, Inez Rose.
She is survived by daughters; Athesia Benjamin (Eric Streb), Chastity Benjamin, Precious Benjamin, and stepdaughter, Marcia Benjamin. Nine grandchildren, one brother, Huegell Rose (Winnifred). Loving host of church family and friends.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 22 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Temple Church, 1 Seneca Parkway, Rochester, NY.
The Funeral Service to Celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Emmanuel Temple Church, 1 Seneca Parkway, Rochester, NY with Bishop Joseph H. Lacey, officiating. Entombment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
